Lee was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on the morning of November 12, 2018, for congestive heart failure and aspiration pneumonia. His daughter and Anderson were by his side.

Stanley Martin Lieber, known as Stan Lee, was an American comic book writer, editor, and publisher. He was the primary creative leader of Marvel Comics, co-creating iconic characters like Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Avengers, Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk, and the Fantastic Four. His 'Marvel Method' of storytelling and relatable, flawed superheroes revolutionized the comics industry.
